Environment & Sustainability Pre-Orientation

The BS in Environment & Sustainability Pre-Orientation Program gives incoming students the cost-free opportunity to arrive on campus early, connect with classmates, explore Georgetown’s Hilltop and Capitol Campuses and Washington, DC, and get a firsthand look at the environmental issues and opportunities that make this region unique.

Why Participate?

Starting college is exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming. A Pre-Orientation experience gives you the chance to start New Student Orientation already knowing faces, places, and resources. Welcome to Georgetown
Move in to your dorm early, meet your fellow BS-ES students, and kick off the week with a welcome dinner and activities designed to help you start building your Georgetown community from day one.

Capitol Campus and Washington, DC
Explore Georgetown’s Capitol Campus, discover DC neighborhoods, sample local favorites, and experience firsthand how the nation’s capital serves as a hub for environmental policy, sustainability, and global action.

Getting Outdoors in and Beyond the City
Step off campus and into the field. Explore the parks, rivers, gardens, and natural areas that make the DC region unique while learning about the environmental opportunities and challenges shaping our communities.

The Earth Commons Experience
